Where Has The Time Gone?
As we all know, Daylight Saving Time has officially ended as of last week Sunday, November 7th and you might be wondering about how many of your goals were able to be crossed off your list this year. What are your current feelings about this? Do you feel accomplished or do you feel like yet another year has passed without executing the intentions that you had set for yourself since the moment you welcomed 2021? Wherever you are in your journey, take a deep breath and find comfort in the fact that regardless of what you were able to finish and/or complete, the Universe makes no mistakes in the timing of things.
I myself, have learned throughout the years that things don’t always go as planned and that there will always be unforeseen circumstances and events. With that being said, it is not about the things that happen to us, but how we are able to maneuver and react to them. Easier said than done sometimes, I understand this all too well. We were brought to existence to experience life as a human being and that journey is bound to contain many lessons that are painful or disappointing at times. This is why it’s so important that we remind ourselves to be gentle on this path that each of us walk and have been assigned. More importantly, now that the year is almost at a close, it is a good idea to unwind and take a moment to check in with our energies.
These last couple of years since the pandemic started have been quite a rollercoaster for everyone involved and as we are nearing 2022, we must continue to make self care a top priority. As a society, I do feel like a good number of us have become more aware of the importance of mental and emotional health. There are a lot more open discussions about our vulnerabilities and internal struggles that we otherwise tend to shut out for lack of trust or fear of being judged. For those that have allowed themselves time to heal from past traumas, painful endings, or self sabotaging thoughts, I am proud of you.
This journey we call life was never meant to be an easy one, and this year is no exception. The main thing I would like you to take from this is that you are not alone. I do believe that most of us have more things in common than not, and as a collective, it is our duty to take care of ourselves in order to take care of each other. What you do for yourself will inspire the next person and so on. So, it becomes a ripple effect into the community as a whole. So, here’s to bringing on 2022 with a clean slate and clear heart and mind.
